The Children’s Trust have been collaborating with The Royal Brompton Hospital and Vivisol Uk to bring into the UK the very first Interpulmonary Percussive Ventilation (IPV) unit to be used within a community setting. Highly Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist, Heather Everest, shared the learnings at an international conference.

Summer can be a challenging time for the children and families we support. After experiencing a brain injury, a child’s needs may change, and the amount of medical and therapy interventions needed can often feel intense. Things that were exciting before, going on holiday and days out with friends, can now feel impossible or scary, and life can feel limited.
August was a fun and enriching time for the children and families we support, and our Sports Inclusion Day was no exception. Around 50 children and young people took part, enjoying the outdoors, trying new activities, and showing that sport really can be for everyone.

Volunteers’ Week returns this year after reaching its 40th anniversary last year. From 2 to 8 June 2025, The Children's Trust will join thousands of charities and voluntary organisations recognising the contribution volunteers make across the UK.
