Summer Fun: August at The Children’s Trust
The schools have broken up for the term, the sky is a beautiful shade of blue, and the familiar sounds of birds singing are all around us. It’s beginning to feel a lot like summer.
Meanwhile, our enrichment programme is in full swing, making the most of the longer, sunnier days during the summer holidays. It’s only been a few weeks, but we’ve already enjoyed art festivals, circus fun, exciting trips out, and plenty of music and dancing.
Enrichment is an important part of learning at The Children’s Trust. It provides opportunities for children and young people, their families, volunteers, and staff to come together, have fun, learn and connect. It’s a space where everyone can explore and celebrate creativity in an accessible and inclusive way.
The play team carefully designs a programme of activities to create experiences that give the children a chance to take a break from their learning while continuing to develop important skills through play. Whether exploring different textures, engaging with music, expressing themselves through art, or experiencing new sights, sounds and colours, every activity is designed to encourage curiosity, confidence and enjoyment.
And there’s so much more to look forward to throughout the summer holidays. We have more exciting trips planned, horse and carriage rides, a sports day, theatre performances, singing, and, to round off the summer in style, the Summer Festival.
