It is with great sadness that we learn of the death of Her Majesty, The Queen.

On Friday (19 August) 22-year-old Abdullah commemorated five years since his brain haemorrhage by visiting staff and young people at The Children’s Trust.

We are delighted to announce a new partnership with the CareTech Foundation, worth £150,000.

Five-year-old Olivia is a pupil at The Children’s Trust School, starting in the nursery in January 2020. Her family found out about The Children’s Trust School through their Portage team in Merton – an educational support service for children with significant additional needs and disabilities and their families.

The Children’s Trust is home to 1,116 volunteers, who give up their time to support our School, rehab and clinical teams who work directly with the young people and children on site. This Volunteers' Week, 1-7 June, we are taking the opportunity to showcase some of our incredible volunteers and thank them for their efforts.

Volunteering offers a lifeline of support for many charities. People giving up their time not only aids their own personal wellbeing, but also helps charities and their staff deliver their mission and important work, inspiring ideas and opening up further opportunities.

International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world on 12 May, which this year marks 202 years since Florence Nightingale’s birth. At The Children’s Trust, we are really proud to have a team of committed nurses and care workers who dedicate their time to supporting children and young people living with an acquired brain injury (ABI) or neurodisability.
