Schools Awareness Day

17 May 2019
This special event will run from 2.00pm-4.30pm at The Children’s Trust, Tadworth Court, Tadworth, Surrey, KT20 5RU and will include a presentation of the services we provide, a short film about some of the children we support and an update on our plans and projects we are currently fundraising for. Pupils will then have the opportunity to meet some of our children and take part in a number of activities which are designed to highlight the difficulties faced by children with brain injury and other complex disabilities. The afternoon will be rounded off with some light refreshments and a chance to ask any questions you may have. This is our opportunity to showcase The Children’s Trust and to inform and educate you on the work we do. Every year over 40,000 children in the UK are left with a brain injury as a result of an accident or illness. Many children make a good recovery but thousands have to live with ongoing, long term difficulties. Some children are left with severe physical problems whilst others experience more subtle ‘hidden’ difficulties with their emotions and behaviour which, nevertheless, have a big impact on their lives. Our ambition is that all children with brain injury and neurodisability have the opportunity to live the best life possible. Places at this event are limited and I would therefore be grateful if you could email Karen kphillips@thechildrenstrust.org.uk or Fiona fthorne@thechildrenstrust.org.uk by 17th April to secure your place.
