The countdown to the holiday season is on, and November is the perfect time to start getting ready for the buzz and excitement of all the activities we have coming up.

From finding pre-loved treasures in our charity shops to joining in with festive fundraising and making memories at Santa’s Grotto, there’s plenty happening this month. It’s also a chance to celebrate the people behind our work and reflect on the difference we’ve made together.

Here’s what’s coming up this November!

Get into the spirit with our shops

Seasonal shopping doesn’t have to mean buying brand new! Our charity shops are full of special presents, clothes, accessories, books and toys, with plenty of unexpected treasures waiting to be discovered.

Whether you’re searching for a thoughtful gift or treating yourself, shopping second-hand is a great way to find something unique while making a more sustainable choice. Every purchase also helps support children and young people with brain injury and neurodisability.

With Black Friday approaching, why not embrace Green Friday as well? Pop into your local shop and keep an eye on our social media for seasonal finds and special promotions.

Celebrating our people and impact

November is also a chance to celebrate the people who make our work possible and reflect on the difference we’ve made.

Our latest Annual Report brings together the stories and achievements of the past year, highlighting the impact of our specialist rehabilitation, education, care, and community services. Take a look at the report to discover more about what we’ve achieved together.

During Occupational Therapy (OT) Awareness Week, we’re celebrating the specialists who help children and young people develop everyday skills, explore their interests and work towards greater independence. By tailoring their support to each child’s needs and goals, our occupational therapists help make everyday activities more accessible.

It’s also Trustees’ Week, when we recognise the trustees who volunteer their time and expertise to help guide the work of The Children’s Trust. Their commitment helps shape our future, supports good governance and keeps children and young people at the heart of our decisions.

We’re grateful to everyone who plays a part in making our work possible.
