Fulham FC brings festive cheer to the Children, young people and families at The Children's Trust.

Players from Fulham FC’s men’s and women’s first teams visited The Children’s Trust in Tadworth last week (10 December), bringing festive excitement to children and families spending the season on site. Antonee Robinson, Calvin Bassey, Beau Parker, and Kayleigh Stead joined families for an afternoon of conversation and fun, all while learning more about the charity’s work.

After a warm welcome from Chief Executive Mike Thiedke, the players joined a speech and language session where children practised their interviewing skills in a lively mock press conference before visiting the charity’s state-of-the-art rehabilitation hub to hear more about the life-changing specialist rehabilitation and neurotechnology that helps give children a brighter future.

Families were then invited to a meet-and-greet, giving children and parents the chance to talk with the players, take photos and collect signed player cards. The club also generously donated a voucher to help the charity purchase play and leisure resources for the children, items that bring fun and joy while also supporting them to work on their goals as part of their rehabilitation.

The Children’s Trust provides specialist rehabilitation, education and community services to help children and young people live the best life possible. The visit formed part of Fulham FC Foundation’s ongoing support for the charity, helping raise awareness of childhood brain injury and bringing moments of joy to families during the festive period.

"Fulham Football Club and Fulham FC Foundation were delighted to visit The Children’s Trust this Christmas, with staff and players from our Men’s and Women’s Team. Our staff and players were great role models, supporting members of the community who need us the most. They had a wonderful time meeting staff and families at this important time of the year.” - Mike McSweeney, Chief Executive Officer at the Fulham FC Foundation

“We were thrilled to welcome Fulham FC back to The Children’s Trust. Visits like this mean so much to the children and families spending the festive season with us. Whether sharing moments in our specialist rehabilitation centre, joining activities across our site or simply spending time with families, the players brought real warmth, joy, and excitement to The Children’s Trust today.

We’re incredibly grateful for Fulham’s continued support – including their generous donation. It all helps create joyful moments during what can be a challenging time for families, and shines a light on the life-changing support our incredible teams provide for children with brain injury all year round.” -Mike Thiedke, Chief Executive of The Children’s Trust
