Allied Health Professions (AHPs) Day 2026
Every milestone achieved by the children and young people we support is made possible by the dedication, expertise, innovation and compassion of our staff.
We are proud to celebrate National Allied Health Professions (AHPs) Day 2026 on Wednesday 14 October, recognising the vital contribution allied health professionals make to health and care. This year’s theme, ‘AHPs Deliver’, highlights the impact these professionals have every day through innovation, collaboration and person-centered care.
At The Children's Trust, our allied health professionals, psychologists, and therapy staff work with the child and families to help them achieve their goals, overcome challenges, and give them the opportunity to live the best life possible. Their impact extends far beyond individual therapy sessions, helping children and young people build confidence, achieve independence, and create brighter futures.
"Allied Health Professions Day is a chance to recognise the extraordinary contribution our therapists, psychologists, health play specialists and support staff make every single day. Their expertise, dedication and passion help children and young people achieve outcomes that can be truly life changing.
“I am continually inspired by the commitment our teams show to delivering outstanding care, embracing innovation and working together to provide the very best support for children and families. On behalf of The Children's Trust, thank you for everything you do."Melanie Burrough, Director of Therapies and Education
Celebrating our therapy community
To mark AHPs Day, colleagues from across The Children’s Trust had the opportunity to take part in various activities to celebrate and recognise the outstanding contribution of the therapy teams. Activities focus on wellbeing, appreciation and innovation, including demonstrations of therapy technologies, wellbeing experiences, and a chance for staff to share messages of thanks.
These celebrations reflect the national AHPs Day themes - people first, collaboration, innovation and promoting the AHP community.
Thank you to all our therapy colleagues for everything you do. Happy Allied Health Professions Day 2026.
