Motor Circuit Cycling Pre-Registration

Terms & Conditions of Participation

1. I have voluntarily accepted the risk of death or injury to me or damage to my property which may be caused arising out of or in connection with the cycling activity, whether undergoing instruction or participating in an activity or event. I accept these risks and take part in the activity at my own risk.
2. I am physically and mentally competent to take part and my eyesight (with lenses if worn) is adequate for track use and I have no history of, any medical condition that could affect my ability to take part in this event. I will not participate whilst under the influence of alcohol, drugs (prescribed or otherwise) or substances which may impair my ability to take part.
3. I will satisfy myself before participating in any activity that the Activity area (“the Area”) is acceptable to me with regard to its features and physical layout. I will not participate if I have any doubts about my ability or the safety of the Area or the Venue.
4. I have read, understood, agree and will comply with the Venue regulations and supplementary regulations and I will promptly comply with the instructions and directions given by the organisers and instructors and any other representative of Goodwood at all times. In the interests of safety the organisers may exclude me from further participation in the activity at their discretion. I am aware that other participants will be on the Area at the same time as me. I shall wear all necessary protective equipment, especially helmets, at all times whilst on the track or Circuit.
5. Any equipment for which I am directly responsible complies with any relevant regulations and is fit to use for the purpose(s) in which I intend to participate. 
6. I understand that I shall be liable for any damage to Goodwood’s property (including any vehicles) caused by my behaviour, and shall pay to Goodwood an amount equal to the cost of resulting replacement or repair, at Goodwood’s discretion.
7. No claim of any kind arising from my own negligence, breach of this declaration, error or omission or otherwise (including without limitation in respect of any damage to any car or other equipment I intend to use in the activity) shall be made by me or on my behalf or on behalf of any dependants against Goodwood, the organisers, any instructor(s) or any company or organisation connected with the activity or event (each a “Relevant Party”) or any of their respective employees, agents or sub-contractors, or any other participant in the activity or event.
8. Neither Goodwood or any other Relevant Person shall be liable for any loss, damage, claims, costs, expenses, injury or demands suffered directly or indirectly by me as a consequence of my attendance or participation in the activity or event provided that nothing shall exclude any Relevant Person’s liability for personal injury or death caused by negligence. I shall reimburse Goodwood and any other Relevant Person against any loss or liability suffered by them as a result of my error, default, act or omission.
9. Goodwood may use comments taken from Post Experience Survey for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice or payment.
10. Goodwood may take photographs and/or video footage of me during the activity or event and may use such photographs or footage for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice or payment.
11. Any material filmed or recorded by me at Goodwood is for personal use only and is not for broadcast (whether for commercial reasons or otherwise) on any public transmission media anywhere in the world (including but not limited to internet, terrestrial, cable or satellite).
12. Participants are to join the track from the Pit Lane and look to the left to ensure there is a clear gap before entering.
13. When re-entering the pit lane, please go through the Chicane and raise a hand to signal to other riders.
14. If a moving vehicle is behind you please move over to the right-hand side and allow the vehicle to pass on the left.
15. If you would like to ride at a slower pace please ride over to the right-hand side.
16. If you are a faster cyclist please ride over to the left-hand side but give way to any faster cyclists.
17. Only overtake on the left-hand side and if you have a bell please ring when approaching another cyclist.
18. When approaching the Chicane, if you are in the slow lane please go around the Chicane and if you are in the fast lane please go to the gap to the left of the Chicane.
19. If you are involved in an accident, please stay where you are and another cyclist will report the incident to the trackside marshal at St. Mary’s corner or at the Pit lane. A medical vehicle will be dispatched.
20. Please note the aerodrome is live at all times, please do not stray to the grass on the inside of the Circuit.
