Join us for an inspiring and practical professional learning event showcasing two of The Children's Trust School's exemplary personal development offers: Accessible Music and Special Yoga.
Led by Launa Randles, Headteacher, the day will begin with the story of the school's journey to establishing these outstanding opportunities for learners with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). Hear how the school identified the needs of its pupils, developed a clear vision, and created high-quality, meaningful experiences that are now embedded within the curriculum and available to all children.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Explore the school's approach to high-quality personal development
- Learn how accessible music and special yoga have been successfully implemented and sustained
- View the school's inspiring Music Education Documentary
- Gain insight into the impact these experiences have on communication, wellbeing, engagement and quality of life for learners with PMLD.
The event will then move into two interactive specialist sessions, where delegates can work directly with our expert practitioners in Special Yoga and Accessible Music. This is a unique opportunity to see how innovative practice can transform opportunities for learners with complex needs and to take away practical ideas that can be adapted within your own setting. Come and discover how every child can access meaningful, enriching experiences that support wellbeing, aspiration and lifelong learning.
Inspiring practice. Exceptional opportunities. Meaningful outcomes for every learner.
