Four stacks of coins and a jar filled with coins, all of which have a plant growing out from it.

Donate old or foreign currency

Turn unused money into meaningful support for children with brain injury and neurodisability.

You can now donate foreign coins and notes, as well as old British and Irish currency that’s no longer in circulation. Whether it’s spare change from a past holiday or a forgotten stash of old notes, your donation can make a real difference.

Encourage friends, family, and colleagues to join in – it’s a simple, cost-free way to support a great cause.

What can be donated

  • Any world currency
  • All foreign coins and notes
  • Old British and Irish currency
  • Pre-decimal currency
  • Damaged currency
  • Any spare change

Even if the currency is no longer accepted in shops or banks, it can still be converted and used to support our work.

How to Donate

There are two main ways to donate your foreign or old currency:

Online via Cash4Coins' Freepost service

You can send your currency directly by post. Here’s how:
•    Package your coins and notes securely in a padded envelope or small box.
•    Include a note with your name and contact details (optional, if you'd like a thank-you or receipt).
•    Send to C4C services (full address details available at cash4coins/the-childrens-trust)

Tip: Use a tracked service if you're sending a large amount or valuable notes.

For larger collections weighing 10kg or more, you can request a collection from Cash4coins.
