The Children’s Trust announces new trial with BTL

The Children’s Trust is exploring two innovative pieces of rehabilitation equipment with BTL.
One focuses on soft robotic technology designed to transform hand and arm rehabilitation, particularly in response to the growing need to support smaller, more precise finger movements. The other aims to assess the impact of controlled muscle contractions to support muscle strengthening, relaxation, joint mobilisation, and the management of muscle spasticity.
The R TOUCH Soft Robotic Glove is designed to restore motion across the entire upper limb, from passive to active movement. The arm is supported and precisely tracked by a motion sensor, enabling users to train within immersive virtual environments or with real objects.
The Super Inductive System DUO uses electromagnetic therapy technology. By interacting with the body’s electromagnetic fields, it supports controlled muscle strengthening, relaxation, and joint mobilisation, while also modulating neuronal activity to relieve pain at any stage.
Trialling this technology will provide valuable insight into how precision-based systems can be integrated into rehabilitation, enhancing therapeutic capabilities and improving outcomes for children and young people.
