David, who was announced as The Children’s Trust’s ambassador earlier this year, spent a festive morning chatting to children, families and staff, and gave each child a personally signed copy of his books Geronimo and The Ice Monster. This is the third year that David has visited the charity on Christmas Day.

The Children’s Trust provides children and young people with brain injury and neurodisability with specialist rehabilitation, education, care, along with community services across the UK.

David said: “The Children’s Trust is a charity I care greatly about, and every time I visit I am struck by its warm, caring atmosphere and the dedication of its staff. The Children’s Trust is a very special place with incredibly inspiring young people. I feel very proud to be involved.”

Dalton Leong, Chief Executive at The Children’s Trust, said: “David’s visit makes an enormous difference to the children and families who stay here at what can be a particularly difficult time away from family and friends. Bert was also a big hit. All of the children were very excited to meet them both. We cannot thank him enough.”
