The clocks went back on Sunday so this week is GloWeek (29 October - 2 November 2018), organised by the Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT).

Over the week, CBIT is running awareness sessions in schools. These highlight the importance of being bright and being seen as children make their way to and from school in darker conditions.

The school presentations spread the Be Seen Not Hurt message. The charity will speak to thousands of UK primary school aged children about how they can stay safe on the roads.

The message given is that there is a link between brain injury and road safety, and that our brains are amazing, and need to be protected.

CBIT said: “Our presentations takes the road safety messages that children are likely to have heard before, but looks at it in a new way, by showing pupils how a RTA [road traffic accident] might result in a brain injury, and what that might mean for families.”
