Finn’s care can’t stop. So neither can we.
Our team heard from Finn’s mum Debbie this morning. She rings us every day to check how her 14-year old son is, and to have a video-call with him. Finn is a full time residential pupil at the Children’s Trust school and needs our around the clock specialist care. When lockdown first happened in March, Debbie made a heart-wrenching decision not to visit Finn. It was incredibly tough, but Debbie felt that Finn’s safety was paramount. She told us: “It’s heartbreaking not to visit Finn, and I struggle with it daily.”
This year will be the first ever Christmas Finn will spend apart from mum Debbie and sister Maisie. Our children and parents, and our staff, face extra uncertainty – with more families set to spend Christmas apart. Finn and the other children spending Christmas here at The Children’s Trust will need us more than ever before. It is vital that, not only do we keep them safe and continue their specialist care around the clock, but that we give them a very special Christmas too.
Your generosity remains crucial because we just can’t let this shortfall impact on our work for families like Finn’s. Support our special Christmas Appeal today
