September marks the start of something new. New classrooms, new teachers, new routines and plenty of things to look forward to – but it can also bring a few nerves along the way.

For some of the children and young people we support, it means heading back to The Children’s Trust School. For others, it’s about getting ready to return to their local school. And behind the scenes, there’s teams of people helping them feel ready for whatever the new school year brings.

At The Children’s Trust School, the children and young people we support have the opportunity to learn in a specialist school environment. For those preparing to return to their local school, our Community Team works alongside children, families and schools to help make that transition possible.

This month, we’ll be sharing some of those stories, hearing from children and young people, and meeting the people who support them. We’ll take you behind the scenes and hear from the Community Team to explore what getting back to school means for the learners.

Later in the month, we’ll be launching The Children’s Trust BIG Thank You campaign, celebrating the people who help make The Children’s Trust what it is. We’ll be saying thank you to our supporters, volunteers and staff, and shining a light on the contribution they make every day to make it all possible.
