We're the official charity partner for the WGSN Global Fashion Awards!
The WGSN Global Fashion Awards, staged by global foresight company, WGSN, and international events group, i2i Events, have named The Children's Trust, the UK's leading charity for children with brain injury, as the official charity partner for 2015. On the night of the awards, The Children's Trust will be auctioning off 20 bespoke t-shirts specially designed by children from the charity's residential school as well as some exciting industry names including Lara Bohinc, Amber Le Bon, Zandra Rhodes and Sarah Angold. WSGN Fashion Awards Donations from the Global Fashion Awards will go towards funding a program of trips, holidays and days out. These excursions are vital to the rehabilitation and wellbeing of the children being cared for, helping children like Elinor who has been a student at The Children's Trust's school for 10 years and will be one of the six students who has been working on the t-shirts, pictured right. Jane Shufflebotham, Fundraising Executive at The Children's Trust, said: "We're delighted that The Children's Trust has been selected as the charity partner to the Global Fashion Awards. Brain injury is often sudden and unexpected. Not only do children require specialist medical attention and rehabilitation, the families also need a huge amount of support. We are very excited about the partnership, which will enable us to continue our work with children and families though an extremely difficult and life changing time". Lauretta Roberts, founder and director WGSN Global Fashion Awards, comments: "We are so proud to support The Children's Trust, the work they do really can transform a brain injured child's life. Art therapy is one of the many treatments the Trust offers so it seemed fitting to have the children join in with our celebrities to create these T-shirts. We really hope people will dig deep and support the children who are taking part – we can't wait to see their designs".
