2015 trek to the summit of Africa's highest peak Mount Kilimajaro 17 - 27 September 2015 Follow in the footsteps of Comic relief stars Chris Moyles, Gary Barlow and Cheryl Cole, as well as Suzanne Dando (TV Presenter, Olympic Gymnast & Vice President of The Children's Trust), Alfie Russell and James Topping who both received rehabilitation at the Trust following severe brain injuries when growing up, by climbing to the top of Africa and conquering this incredible mountain. Find out why Suzanne, Alfie & James put themselves to the test... "I first met Alfie 4yrs ago and was so incredibly moved and motivated by his story. Since then we have spoken at an attended a number of events for The Children's Trust and decided we are quite the winning duo! Alfie's determination has been an inspiration to so many, including myself, and has laid down the gauntlet for a couple of challenges of which I simply couldn't refuse" Suzanne Dando To see the inspiring stories of the children at the Trust, including Alfie's, please click here. One of the most iconic sights in Africa, Kilimajanro's snow capped peak climbs 500 meters over the surrounding plains and proves a physically demanding challenge to conquer. We will be ascending by the Rongai Route, which still maintains a sense of the untouched wilderness lost on some of the more crowded Marangu and Machame trails. Registration fee*: £449 Minimum sponsorship*: £3900 For a booking form and application pack please go to the website of our event partner, Action Challenge: For more information on our Kilimanjaro Trek or any of our other treks please contact Michelle
