The Children’s Trust wins top hospitals award

The Children’s Trust was honoured with a CHKS Top Hospitals quality improvement award on Wednesday (12 June 2019). This prestigious award is part of the CHKS Top Hospitals awards programme which recognises excellence in patient safety, quality of care and patient experience. The quality improvement award is open to organisations accredited by CHKS in 2018. The Surrey-based charity is the only children’s charity to be awarded accreditation by CHKS and the ISO:9001 certification. The award follows the organisation’s other recent achievements, being rated as ‘Outstanding’ by both the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Ofsted Care. Dalton Leong, Chief Executive at The Children’s Trust said: "We are extremely proud of this award. Over the past few years, we have set out to create a culture of continuous improvement to ensure that we provide the best possible care to the children and families we support. We are delighted to win. It’s a wonderful testament to the dedication and commitment of our staff and volunteers.”  Moyra Amess Director, Benchmarking, Assurance & Accreditation, Capita Healthcare Decisions, said: “These awards recognise hospitals that are safer for patients, more effective and more efficient. Areas which we believe are critical to delivering good patient care and experience. We are delighted that so many award-winning trusts were brought together tonight to acknowledge their hard work and dedication and to celebrate success across the healthcare industry.”
