Thrill-seeking lawyers abseil 80 metres for charity

Five brave employees from London based law firm Harbottle & Lewis, assembled 114 metres from the ground on top of one of London's most iconic structures to abseil the Acelormittal Orbit, at the Olympic Park in Stratford. The Children's Trust is Harbottle & Lewis' charity of the year for 2015. The charity was nominated and voted for by Harbottle & Lewis employees who have already raised an incredible £6,000 from the abseil alone. Jamie Feldman an Associate in the Employment group at Harbottle & Lewis said: "It was fantastic. We all had a great time. Once you've stepped off the ledge and there is nothing around you but air, you can feel the adrenaline rush through your body. It was a brilliant experience, and wonderful to be able to raise so much to help The Children's Trust. We will be continuing to raise money for them throughout the year with other fundraising activities". Laura Treadaway, Corporate Fundraising Executive at The Children's Trust, said: "The Acelormittal Orbit abseil is one of our newest challenges, so it was really exciting to have the Harbottle & Lewis team take the challenge together. Well done to everyone that took part and thank you for raising such a fantastic amount." You can show your support by donating online here
