The Spring Exhibition of Arts 201629 April 2016
For the 30th year, Tadworth Court will house a temporary exhibition and sale showcasing pieces by artists from across the South East on Friday 29th April to Sunday 1st May 2016. The event, organised by The Friends of The Children's Trust will raise money for children at The Children's Trust. Over 450 exhibits, available to purchase, will be on display including paintings, sculptures and photographs. There will also be an artwork competition of exhibits by children from local schools. Admission to the exhibition is FREE and visitors can buy the exhibits. The three-day exhibition is open from 6pm - 9pm on Friday, from 10am - 5pm on Saturday, and from 10am - 3pm on Sunday. Celebrated Daily Mail cartoonist 'Mac' (Stan McMurtry MBE) is officially opening the exhibition and has very kindly donated an original of one his brilliant cartoons (image below), which will be auctioned by The Friends of The Children's Trust. It measures 56cm wide by 38cm high and has the caption, hand-written by Mac, and is dated 1-3-16. It is accompanied by a copy of the Daily Mail in which it appeared; a perfect reminder for you to keep of this year's historic EU Referendum! The auction will culminate on 29th April at the official opening of the Spring Exhibition of Arts. However, you can place your bid, in advance online here.
