Susie's scrummy tea party

Susie Arrowsmith who was supported by The Children’s Trust hosted a village tea party to raise much needed funds.

Susie Arrowsmith and her friend Tessa Robbins raiseD £420 for The Children’s Trust, by hosting a village tea party. We would like to say a huge thank you to them both for their fantastic fundraising which involved tireless baking, preparation and serving on the day! Susie was helped by The Children’s Trust brain injury specialists who are based around the country in local communities as her mum explains below: "Susie contracted a very rare virus last November called Hantavirus which led to multi-organ failure and also Limbic Encephalitis. She has been very poorly but has been helped enormously by The Children’s Trust, most significantly, Claire Hall who is affiliated with Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
She has been helped in returning to school by Claire Hall and is now managing half days and is moving up to Secondary school in September." Thank you again for your fantastic efforts to both of you and everyone who attended and enjoyed the yummy treats!
