120 supercars with a combined value of almost £40 million took part in The Supercar Event at its new home at Goodwood Motor Circuit this year (1 June), raising more than £50,000 for The Children’s Trust to help children with brain injury. Supercar drivers from all over the country donated their time, tyres and petrol to give adrenaline-charged passenger rides to thousands of paying visitors. Some of the world’s most luxurious supercars descended onto Goodwood Motor Circuit, including the Ferrari 488 Pista, the McLaren P1, the Lamborghini Huracan Performance and the Pagani Huyura Roadster worth an impressive £2.5 million.  Volunteers and drivers posing for photo by Supercars at The Supercar Event 2019 The thrilling event, which has been running for 13 years, was hosted by South West London’s Radio Jackie Broadcaster, Steve Mowbray and Eurosports Reporter, Alexandra Legouix who have been long-time supporters of the charity. It’s a hugely popular event year after year, with hundreds of Supercars and fantastic attractions making it such a great success. I think the new venue at Goodwood Motor Circuit was the perfect place to host the exhilarating day. We all had such a great time and look forward to visiting again next year!’’ Supercar ready to hit the track with driver and passenger at The Supercar Event Dalton Leong, Chief Executive at The Children’s Trust, said: ‘‘We’ve had some amazing cars out on the track and raised a fantastic amount to help children with brain injury. All the money raised will help us to provide specialist rehabilitation, care and education for children with brain injury and neurodisability. It’s a real team effort and the generosity of our visitors, drivers and everyone who volunteers never ceases to amaze me. Next year, The Supercar Event will be back at Goodwood for a two-day event (24 & 25 July), and we look forward to welcoming even more visitors in 2020.’’ The Children’s Trust Supercar Event 2020 will be held on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 July at Goodwood Motor Circuit.
