Renowned businesswoman announced as Vice-President

One of the UK's most successful businesswomen has been appointed as a Vice-President of The Children's Trust. Jacqueline Gold, chief executive of the Ann Summers empire accepted the appointment in August. Jacqueline and her husband Dan Cunningham have a special connection with the charity, as their son Alfie received specialist care here. Since then they have been keen supporters of the Trust and in May, Jacqueline unveiled a plaque to mark the opening of new parents’ accommodation at the centre. Speaking of her new role, she said: “It is my absolute pleasure and honour to accept this position of Vice-President and I am keen to fulfill this role and hope to shape it further.” “The Children’s Trust is truly amazing and it’s not just the facilities, but the staff and volunteers which make it so special. During Alfie’s short life the Trust gave us the opportunity to bond with our son.” “I am really looking forward to contributing to the further success of The Children's Trust.”
