Data Protection Policy

The Children’s Trust will comply with relevant legislation and good practice in obtaining, storing, processing and disclosing personal data in accordance with Data Protection Act 1998, Caldicott Principles and Guidance provided by the Information Commissioners Office (ICO). Incident Reporting and Investigation Including Duty of Candour Policy

The Children’s Trust is committed to being a learning organisation and ensuring a full understanding of factors which have led to an incident. The purpose of reporting and investigating is to: identify risks; learn from incidents that have occurred; improve the quality of care for the children we support; maintain the safety of the children, families, staff, volunteers and visitors at The Children’s Trust. Complaints Policy

The Children’s Trust is committed to providing consistently high standards of service. All complaints must be handled thoroughly without delay and with the aim of satisfying the complainant whilst being fair and open with those involved. There is a need to view complaints positively as a valuable contribution to improving services. The Children’s Trust is committed to identifying lessons learnt so services can be improved. Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy

The Children’s Trust believes that it is always unacceptable for a child or young person to experience abuse of any kind and recognises its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children and young people using services, by a commitment to practice which protects them. Disciplinary Policy and Procedure
