Our staff

The Children’s Trust School is staffed by dedicated professionals with expertise in providing education, care and therapy to children and young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and complex health needs.

Staff at the school fall into three groups:

1. Education

Teachers (all have relevant qualifications)
Learning Support Assistants (with NVQ level 3 in Education)
Classroom Assistants
One-to-one Special Support Assistants

Heads of Residential Houses (all of whom are registered nurses)
Pupil Development Assistants (with NVQ level 3 in Care)
One-to-one Special Support Assistants
A designated night staff team

3. Therapy

Speech and Language Therapists
Occupational Therapists
Music Therapists
Therapy Assistants
Read more about therapy available at the school. Each class has a Teacher, Learning Support Assistant, Classroom Assistant, Therapy Assistant and a member of the care team. Where appropriate therapists work with pupils in the classroom to minimise disruption to their education programmes.
