Our flagship store is now open

Tadworth bargain-hunters were queuing along the streets to show their support for The Children's Trust's new charity shop, which opened its doors for the first time on Saturday 28 February. The store at 16 Cross Road, Tadworth was packed with clothes and accessories, paintings and ornaments. The children's area with toys and children's clothes was especially popular. The store will be open six days a week (Monday - Saturday). Tara Bennett, store manager, said: "The opening was a great success, many members of the local community turned out to show their support. One of our first sales included a Valentino suit for £250, which is fantastic. And all of the money raised will go to supporting children with brain injury." Julie Beames, Head of Retail at The Children's Trust, said: "The Children's Trust has been based in Tadworth since the 1920s, so it's very fitting that our flagship store to be centred in the heart of our local community. "Our fabulous new store offers an excellent shopping experience - whether you're looking for handbags, books, children's toys, music, DVDs, a new dress or any number of other shopping delights. "We are recruiting volunteers to help with everything from sorting and preparing stock to merchandising and sales, so if you're interested in helping out pop into the shop."
