MIB Three Peaks Challenge

The Children's Trust Blogger

Thank You to MIB that have raised £5,907.87!

MIB have been supporting The Children’s Trust as their chosen charity for nearly a decade. Every year their CSR team take on amazing challenges to fundraise for us and this year was no exception as 11 intrepid members of staff conquered the UK’s three highest peaks: Ben Nevis, Scarfell and Snowdon, in just 24 hours! Their fundraising total for the challenge is £5,907.87!  They have completed an incredible feat for children with brain injury and we are so grateful for their continued support of The Children’s Trust! Below is a poem written by one of the Three Peaks Team to illustrate their amazing adventure: They set out for a challenge, little Taddy and team
To climb a few mountains, a breeze, what a dream The dream was short lived, when Ben made his mark
Pounding on knees, quick… get to Scarfell before dark Headlights were checked and blisters were popped
To bring on that summit, through bolders they chopped Quick photo at top, before descent and depart
The wind was killer, aided by a belch or a fart.! Transition number two, bums on seats, tummies fed
A few hours sleep, on a coach for their bed They travelled through Wales, the timing was tight
Same clothes and same socks, the smell a delight Arrival at Snowdon, foggy, cold but the last
No time for a cuppa, Pyg and Miners to blast A challenge it was, the Three Peaks didn’t fail
Testing grit and commitment with Taddy on tail Returning home was the dream, no more flapjacks just rest
A coffee on route but no beer was the test! So here’s to the crew that summited success
Great banter, great effort, who gave nothing less
