Maidstone charity shop’s appeal for volunteers

The Children’s Trust, the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury, is making a special appeal for volunteers at its charity shop at 20 Gabriels Hill, Maidstone. The shop’s manager, Mandy Tucker, would love to hear from local residents, who would be interested in joining their friendly team. The charity shop is open seven days a week, from Monday to Saturday 9 am–5 pm and Sunday 10 am–4 pm. Volunteering days and hours are flexible, with a variety of different roles. If you have time to help, even if it is for a few hours a week, please contact Manager Mandy or Assistant Manager, Gary, on 01622 685112. For those of you who are planning a de-clutter, please donate unwanted presents, quality clothing and other items in good condition, including books, CDs, toys, fashion accessories, bric-a-brac and kitchenware. The shop also stocks a range of retro items and clothing – so vintage merchandise is most welcome.

Bucket collection:

A bucket collection will be taking place in Maidstone town centre on Saturday, 26th March, so please show your support by making a donation, however small. All money received will directly benefit children at The Children’s Trust, who receive rehabilitation for a brain injury, following an accident or illness.
