Looking back at a most Festive Friday

Stephen Bain

Christmas may be over now, but that doesn’t mean we at The Children’s Trust can’t enjoy the festive period a little longer.

Festive Friday, our last big fundraiser of 2017, saw local businesses raise money by wearing something festive within their place of work. This varied from Christmas jumpers to Santa hats and reindeer antlers.

Johnston Sweepers, who are based in Dorking and manufacture road sweepers joined in the fun. They managed to “sweep up” £330 for The Children’s Trust.

Nate Greenaway, from Johnston Sweepers, commented: "As one of the largest employers in Mole Valley, we are always delighted to support local charities. Most people here have heard of The Children’s Trust and know of the great things they do, it was not a hard decision to support them when we were approached. I can only describe the day as fun, festive and fabulous.” Staff at The Children’s Trust also played their part and posed for several gloriously silly photographs in the canteen.

We hope all our supporters had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We look forward to all the exciting challenges and activities 2018 brings us.
