The power of wheels partnership at full speed

Our corporate partner Kia Motors (UK) was in full swing over recent months carrying out lots of exciting activities to raise vital funds. During September, 52 staff members took part in four separate walks. Starting at The Children’s Trust in Tadworth, participants got warmed up with a personal trainer before taking on the long walk back to their Head Office in Walton-on-Thames where they received a well-deserved rest and massage. It was a fantastic achievement as all participants walked a total of 837 miles – accumulatively they could have walked from The Children’s Trust to Glasgow and back! In the process, they raised almost £7,000! We also had two runners take part in the infamous Great North Run. Both Dan and Nigel did tremendously well tackling the 13.1 miles around Newcastle and raised over £4,800 – a great effort from both of them. On the same weekend, 6 people from Kia took on our very own Surrey cycle Challenge. They got on their bikes and cycled 46 miles to raise funds for The Children’s Trust. Starting and finishing at our national rehabilitation centre in Tadworth, the team took on the hills of Surrey to raise a fantastic £1,170. Most recently, a spooktacular Halloween party was held at Kia’s head office where our children and their families were able to enjoy the activities and treats. Thank you to everyone at Kia who has supported us over these fantastic few months. We are very grateful and excited to do even more events in the future.
