There are many different ways that you can help as a volunteer at The Children's Trust to support children with brain injury. All opportunities are subject to the current needs within each department.
Our Charity shops
Volunteers in our shops support a huge range of activities including; sorting and preparing donations, window displays, serving our customers, till operator, signing up Gift Aid donors, administration and housekeeping. We have 21 shops across Surrey, Kent and West Sussex.
All of the departments within the Trust have a need for general administration assistance. This can vary from computer work to filing, answering phones and compiling research.
Our volunteer drivers do a vital job transporting children to medical appointments and to various outings. A full, clean driver’s licence is essential and a medical exam may also be required.
We run exciting fundraising events
across the country throughout the year to keep our services running which often need the help of volunteers.
There are 24 acres of beautiful gardens and woodlands on site in Tadworth that require continual maintenance.
As with any organisation, there are roles that are critical but do not fall within any of the above. Examples of these might be: cleaning and maintaining our charity collection boxes or helping in our volunteers department.
Working with children
Many of our volunteers work with the learners at our school
Whatever you decide to do will make a real difference and help us to support thousands of children with brain injury and their families every year.
