Hari partnership going from strength to strength

Jane Shufflebotham

Our partnership with the lovely team at The Hari hotel in London has gone from strength to strength in 2018. This enthusiastic and passionate team have really outdone themselves these last few months in their quest to raise funds and support us in any way they can. Last week, nine of the team bought festive Disney-themed cheer to many of the children and young people at our National Specialist Centre. General Manager Andrew, dressed as Santa, was accompanied by his very own elf plus some very famous characters. They visited children on the houses and gave out specially chosen presents and gave many a photo opportunity. They’ve also done something truly special this month, with their Christmas window display.
An advent calendar in the window of the Hari restaurant in London
The Hari has created a giant advent calendar, and behind each window is a fabulous gift donated by a local business. Each day, one of the gifts is being unveiled and auctioned off via their website to raise money for us. Feel free to join the fun, the auction is open to all! On top of that, three of the team (John, James and Pablo) are taking part in the Arctic Challenge in January; plus another team member (Matthew) is taking on the Brighton Marathon in April. Liz Wickenden, Director of HR, who has been instrumental in the partnership, said: “We are so enjoying our wonderful partnership with The Children’s Trust, they have been so supportive and motivational to us that it has inspired us to do as much as we can. “Visiting the children and young people was such a privilege and we were blown away by the courage they show and the amazing staff we met. We are excited to see what else we can achieve in 2019.” Thank you so much to each and every person at The Hari!
