Find out about the real journey of brain injury

There's been lots of talk in the media about brain injury and the affects it has on adults... but what does this mean for children? And their families? We’re hosting an event on Friday 27 November where you'll join us on the journey of finding out what acquired brain injury is really like and how what you'll learn will help you in your approach... This is the perfect opportunity for any nurses in particular to boost up their participatory learning CPD hours. If you provide nursing care or are involved in caring for children with an acquired brain injury, or want to improve your knowledge, this event is for you. You'll gain a greater understanding of what acquired brain injury is and its resulting effects (both emotional and physical), as well as practical strategies for caring with a child or young person in both an acute and non-acute setting. As the event charts the journey a child takes, you'll also hear from a parent about their experiences from the moment of diagnosis to living life with an acquired brain injury. Join us on the journey. Cost (including lunch): £75.
