Comedian Adam Hills offers a few words of advice

It was smiles all round when comedian and TV presenter Adam Hills visited The Children’s Trust, the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury, on Friday 17 November 2014.
Host of Channel 4’s The Last Leg, Adam Hills, was invited to visit, in the hope that he could offer a few words of advice to one of the children there.
Nine year old Seb is currently receiving rehabilitation after a serious accident left him with an acquired brain injury and his right leg amputated, among many other injuries. Seb hopes to have a prosthetic leg fitted in a few months’ time and the team at The Children’s Trust thought that Adam’s positive attitude to disability might help motivate Seb and encourage him to keep his physio exercises up. Seb’s mother Tracy said: “It was really great to have Adam witness all the fantastic work that takes place here. He spoke very openly to Seb about his leg, and even told him reasons why having a prosthetic leg was “cool”. Seb was very impressed; hopefully this will give him the lift he needs to keep up the physio exercises.” Adam said: “It was an honor to meet Seb and the other kids at The Children’s Trust, they are an inspiration. Seb asked a lot of questions about what it’s like to have a prosthetic leg, so I showed him mine. He had me hopping on one foot, doing keep-ups and playing football. I think it made him feel more positive about things. Seb had a great sense of humor; he’ll definitely be one to watch out for on the comedy circuit in a few years.”
