Community Champions are essential to The Children’s Trust's community engagement. As a Champion, you will be representing our charity at schools, community groups and corporate partners, communicating our key messages and ensuring they feel valued. Whether it’s a black-tie dinner in town or a rotary meeting in a village hall, our Community Champions will be out there sharing their inspiring stories and spreading awareness of our vital work.
What will the role involve?
1. Representing The Children’s Trust at local events
2. Giving engaging talks to local community groups such as Rotaries, Lions, Women's Institutes, Universities and Schools
3. Actively approaching schools and community groups to book talks
4. Responding to queries from the public about The Children’s Trust
We do not expect every Champion to be able to speak to a large room of people, it can be a pretty daunting task for some. We value the importance of our Champions and want them to feel comfortable in any task they undertake. Therefore you won’t be required to attend an event unless you are comfortable doing so.
