Becky Groves tells BBC South East her story
Becky, now 22, had to learn to walk and talk again after contracting encephalitis when she was just 12. Doctors advised her family to turn off her life-saving equipment. But after they had said their goodbyes, they were stunned when she carried on breathing on her own. Becky then came to The Children's Trust for rehabilitation, to relearn the skill she had lost because of her brain injury. Fast forward 10 years and Becky has successfully achieved 17 qualifications!
