Aquila Heywood's amazing fundraising milestone

Jane Shufflebotham

An amazing milestone has been reached this week. Our fantastic corporate partner Aquila Heywood has now raised £100,000. They have been supporting us for over four years and have raised money to fund two brand new multi-sensory rooms, specialist equipment, new beds and bedding, play therapy and much more. The staff at their office in Redhill have shown such an incredible amount of commitment and dedication to their partnership with us. Over the years they have done everything from trekking to Everest base camp, running marathons, cycling and walking to holding raffles, auctions, dress down days, organising their own sponsored walk and Halloween themed cake sales. They have also been wonderful advocates of our cause and have supported many of our own events such as the Christmas fair. I have been lucky enough to work with Aquila Heywood since the start of the partnership in 2014. We have formed an extremely strong relationship and I am always blown away by how dedicated the staff are in helping us any way they can. They put so much effort into all their fundraising activities. Their constant support has been invaluable to us as a charity. Simon Barker, CEO at Aquila Heywood, said: “It is great to be working very closely with a fantastic organisation like The Children’s Trust. The work they do is incredibly valuable and it's tremendous to have supported them over the last 4 years.” Michael Brooks-Browning, Director of People at Aquila Heywood, said: “Whether it's climbing Mount Kilimanjaro or a walk around the park; our employees are proud to support important charitable causes such as The Children’s Trust and look forward to the year ahead where we can work together to continue to support their worthwhile mission.” Thank you so much to everyone at Aquila Heywood from everyone here at The Children's Trust!
