Adam Hills hosts comedy night to raise money for children with brain injury

Star of Channel 4’s The Last Leg, Adam Hills is to host The Children's Trust Comedy Night on 5 February to raise money for children with brain injury and neurodisability. The Children’s Trust Comedy Night debuted in 2016 with the help of Tim Vine and Adam Hills, and sold out in just weeks. Three years later the event has raised more than £16,000 to help children with brain injury and neurodisability. Although the 2018 line-up is yet to be announced, past comedians that have appeared include Harry Hill, Charlie Baker, Angela Barnes, Tom Lucy and Elliot Steel. It’s guaranteed to be a night not to miss. Adam Hills said: “I’ve visited The Children's Trust a number of times and I have seen first-hand the amazing work they do helping children with brain injury which is caused by accidents or illness. It is an absolute pleasure to host the Comedy Night again. We had a really great time last year and hope that it will be even better this time round.” Adam first became involved with The Children’s Trust when he visited the charity to meet a 9 year old boy called Seb who had been involved in a road accident resulting in a severe brain injury and leg amputation. Adam visited Seb at The Children’s Trust and the two chatted about having a prosthetic leg, with Adam even removing his own prosthetic foot to show Seb what it was like, and help Seb think more positively in order to focus on rehabilitation. Since that first visit, Adam has visited The Children’s Trust a number of times and has brought fellow comedians to do special performances for the children undergoing specialist rehabilitation. Tickets available to buy from The Comedy Store cost £33 for premier seats, £27 standard seats. www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk/comedy The Comedy Store, 1a Oxendon Street, London, SW1Y 4EE (nearest tube Piccadilly Circus or Leicester Square). Doors open 6pm.
