Action for Brain Injury Week 2015

Please help us mark Action for Brain Week by taking part in our #7Days7Ways campaign. By partaking in one or more of our seven suggested ways during the week of 18-24 May, you make a real difference to the lives of children with brain injury. Simply make people aware of childhood brain injury by spreading the word. Or go a step further and sign up for an exciting challenge such as an abseil or skydive? Read what Richard Hammond has to say about the campaign. » Don't forget to use the #7Days7Ways hashtag on Twitter and Facebook to let us know what you've done. 7Days7Ways... Click on the titles, to find out how you can get involved. Be B.R.A.I.N aware: Learn about the hidden effects of brain injury through our Brain Injury Hub's acronym and share one fact with friends or on social media. Volunteer: Have you got free time on your hands? You could become a valuable member of our team. Volunteer in one of our shops, assist our transport team or help at events. Do a challenge: From running a marathon to an adrenaline-rushing abseil, there must be a challenge out there that you would eagerly sign up for. Doing a fundraising challenge on behalf of The Children's Trust will support our vital work. Our events include some amazing runs, treks and cycles. Tell your work: Encourage your company to consider us as Charity of the Year. Team up with colleagues and get involved in a fundraiser or sponsor an event.

In fact workplaces can even help us byvolunteering a day to spruce up our garden and play areas so that the children receiving rehabilitation can enjoy time outside. Use our charity shops: Why not cast off those unwanted winter clothes and get them down to one of The Children's Trust shops? Our shops are always on the lookout for those 'pre-loved' items that you no longer need. You might even pick up a bargain on your visit. Hold an event: Whether it's a bake sale or a fundraising ball, we will support you with materials and advice on your events. And why not ask your child's school or nursery to sign up for Humphrey's Pyjama Week in October, where the children can dress up in their pyjamas for a day for a small donation.
