    Training Days

Lucy Pitt  “Thank you so much for all your support and hand-holding, the weekly emails really kept me going and the training days were fab. It really did help a lot”  Dave Matthews  “Wow, what an incredible experience. I would like to thank you and all of your colleagues at The Children's Trust for your guidance, advice and assiduous planning making the London marathon all that I could hope for. The motivational emails the training runs the coach to the start line and the "last 5 mile " of the course were of tremendous help to me, although meeting in the Banker & Barrowboy and not drinking strong fizzy larger was very tough! I am so glad that I got to meet some wonderful people all doing something positive for an extremely worthwhile cause. "I am still walking like I have lost my donkey and the boys at school are wondering why I make funny involuntary noises when I move, they are a little bit dismayed at having to do silent reading in their PE Lessons but we all have to make sacrifices!! Seriously the boys have been inspired in raising money in various forms and their parents have been most generous. I am at nearly £2500 and chasing a few more stingy relatives! "My daughters Scarlett and Molly would like me to thank you for the banger sticks and the disco, I think they missed the point slightly but had a great time at the after party (just like their Mum always does!!) "Thank you for all of your hard work and I mean it when I say never again...never..but cheers for the journey. Good luck for LM17”

    Loud Cheers

Gaby Morrison London “Running the marathon was one of the most amazing things I have ever done. If anyone ever had a doubt that they could do it tell them that they really really would be fine. The crowd carried me all the way. I'm still running but not nearly so far!” Paul Harvey London
"I had a great day running in London, it’s a million times better than Paris.  The atmosphere is incredible, something that I thought I wouldn’t appreciate, but it really motivated me to keep going.  My hamstring was agony after about 35k and I had to walk on a few occasions after this point so I didn’t achieve 4:30 as I wanted.  I’m not too disappointed though, as, like I said, it was an amazing day.  During training, I said I would never do this again, but I really want to do London again…..who knows, maybe next year." Debbie Matthews “Thank you for making what could have been a painful experience today such fun. The coach trip up was such a joy, no standing around on platforms and to be dropped off right at the start was fantastic. The support from you all on the course was amazing I'm sure we could have given up without you all cheering us on. Then the welcome, food, massage etc at the Piccadilly Institute was the icing on the cake! Thanks again it was the best day ever!” Claire Lockwood
“The best day ever! Really enjoyed seeing all the other Children's Trust runners, they were all so friendly and supportive. It was tough but worth every single minute of it and I will be back out there and applying for next year!! Thank you so so much for letting me a part of this for you, it's been the most amazing experience ever.
Thank you so so much for letting me a part of this for you, it's been the most amazing. Love Claire xXx"

    Sports Massage

Gordon “Excellent after-party at The Piccadilly Institute - we all had a great time there thanks - and the fantastic massage team helped get my legs move again. Still took me over a minute to make it down my stairs this morning!...”
