How your donations help

For the last ten years The Children's Trust has been working through a major redevelopment programme to update its buildings and improve the quality of life experienced by the children in our care. 

Although the Trust can charge the children’s local authorities for their basic care, education and therapy the fees don’t cover everything. For example, new buildings and equipment, leisure activities for the children, maintaining the sensory gardens and nature trail in our grounds, the support we offer families and the cost of recruiting and training our volunteers are all funded through voluntary donations.

Generally, the Trust budgets for a short fall of about £500,000 each year which must be met by voluntary donations.
