Why run the London Marathon for The Children's Trust?
Run in aid of The Children's Trust and change the lives of children with multiple disabilities forever!
By taking part in the 2011 Virgin London Marathon in aid of the Trust you will make a BIG difference! These children have never been in the spotlight and this year, you have the chance to change this!
Your fundraising will help us give the children the very best quality of life. We will ensure that we use all money raised wherever the need is greatest. One such use of our money is our community support service.
Each year over 5000 children suffer an acquired brain injury but most do not have access to the specialist help available at The Children's Trust. The money raised will enable the Trust to help many more children and families by developing services in the community. This will allow more children to benefit from the skills and experience we have developed over many years. We have already begun and a small team of specially trained therapists is working with families and children from across the UK. Their skills enable children who have suffered a brain injury cope with life when they return home and go back to school. Many more children need this help and to reach them we need to raise the funds to recruit and train more therapists. We know what a difference we can make to children with a brain injury. Thanks to our London Marathon runners, even more children and their families will get the help they desperately need.
