What our previous runners said
Running for The Children's Trust can inspire you when the going gets tough!
'What a fantastic day, made all the better by raising £2,300 for the children. I came along to the party afterwards and it was a wonderful way to wind down - especially the leg massage! Thanks very much indeed!'
'My family were waiting at The Children's Trust cheering point and I was able to run by them looking very strong. However it wasn't long before my energy level really diminished and I found myself stopping. Then one of The Children's Trusts runners shouted out to me as he went by. That was what I needed to start up again and I ran alongside him for several miles. I really felt proud of our two purple running vests and the crowd were cheering us along even more. I was in no condition to make conversation or express my gratitude but it was this sense of belonging to a team that got me to the finish line.'
'What an experience! Not only was I buzzing for weeks afterwards but so were the friends and family that supported me on the day! Thanks for all the backup from The Children's Trust too. Unfortunately, I didn't take up the offer of having the massage at the party (even though my legs needed all the help they could get) as I got so caught up with celebrating with my friends and family.'
'A big thank you to you and your team for your help and support, it was great to be running for such a worthwhile charity.'
'Thanks to the Children's Trust who gave me the opportunity to run the London Marathon! I burst into tears as I crossed the finishing line - the most emotional race I have ever run - what an experience!!! After yesterday I have a stupid grin on my face and almost slept with my medal on last night!'
